-Anja Müller-
Built to Last // Meg Stuart // Impulstanzfestival 2013
Wiener Zeitung, 25.07.2013
"A special moment arises when Anja Müller steps on a pedestal, to defy the planets of the solar system and ennobles that man is the everlasting monument that can guide the trajectories of the planets. Her movements are epic and beautiful, powerful and delicate at the same time . One could not represent better the human desire for eternity."
Undead & Delicious // Deter/Müller/Martini // HAU3 Berlin
„This piece is a fascinating work that asks if, and to what extent, we inhabit the image of our societal icons.“

memor I am // Deter/ Müller/ Martini // LOFFT Leipzig
"This one moment of pure and cruel beauty seemed to be infinite and captivated the audience, so that even minutes after the show, the shock could be seen in every face."
„Das verstörendste Stück ist vielleicht von Lea Martini, Dennis Deter und Anja Müller – MEMOR I AM – die Schlussszene von „Bonnie and Clyde“. „Bonnie and Clyde“ werden erschossen.
"The most disturbing piece is perhaps of Lea Martini, Dennis Deter and Anja Müller - memor I am - the final scene of "Bonnie and Clyde". "Bonnie and Clyde" are shot. And 30 minutes, this final scene. A mad furious act of destruction. But as well reflection on this cinematic process that has been etched in our minds. That's brilliant."
“For over half an hour they act the tremor of bodies that get tossed around by the bullets, formed into grotesque movements. But it never gets monotone and cynical in its cruelty. For their performance gives a physical echo to the images, once set into the world, as if they replay the scene for everyone who has ever seen the movie, and so sum up all the accumulated violence.” Katrin Bettina Müller, taz Berlin, 05.01.2009

"A state of being that many stage artists would die for to be able to rediscover." Malena Forsare – Sydsvenskan
Amateur and Meat are Playing Live in Milky Way // Anja Müller&Taavet Jansen // Baltoscandal Festival 2008
“Amateur and Meat met. It was stormy. It was sweet. It was strange. The stage filled with energy was ruled by multifunctional performers whose magnetic voices, skilful use of musical instruments, bizarre dance and theatrical characteristics carried the audience of the festival tent completely away.
Taavet Jansen´s and Anja Müller´s interdisciplinary concert-performance was freaky deviation from ordinary (rock) concert and usual (dance) theatre. It wasn´t an egg nor a chicken but a light-yellow chick who innocently tapped the tail of a sleeping fox.” Ireene Viktor
“A part from challenging the distinction between a dance performance and a concert they problematize the very notion of performance, and the standard conditions which guarantee its fictional status.
Thus the piece, the story, and its performance coincide, the finished version is the same as the making of the piece. This opens all sorts of questions: what is a finished piece, where the process of making stops, is the audience supposed to see the making, what constitutes the difference between performing and making, showing and doing? Thus, next to testing the flexibility of the borders between dance performance and a concert, as it is stated in the program notes, Müller and Jansen give their “Amateur and Meat are Playing Live” a conceptual edge by asking what does it mean “to perform”.”” Alena Alexandrova,

eine kunst wie alles // Anja Müller // Sophiensaele 2005
"Still, it's Plath with a grin – one wonders how someone who finds her an inspiration manages to see a funny side. Müller does. And she cleverly combines economy of means, black humour and simple, slightly eccentric movements to surprise and make me chuckle." (Katja Werner, Dance Europe)
(Tagesspiegel Berlin)
